Overview of
ISO/IEC 17025:2005
For scientific and technical personnel (forensic labs)
OBJECTIVES
A one-day course that will take the mystery out of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, and will show the links with the CAN-P-1578.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is intended for technical personnel, working in a forensic testing laboratory.
PREREQUISITE
None
OUTLINE
This course present an overview of the general requirements that apply to all laboratories, and presents the technical requirements for a successful accreditation. Among others, the following are covered:
Usefulness of the accreditation
Scope of the quality system
Understanding the concepts of nonconformities, corrective actions and preventive actions
Clarifying the concepts and terms related to equipment calibration and maintenance
Links with CAN-P-1578 for each clause of 17025
Difference between registration (ISO 9001) and accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025)
