CYBERCOURSES - All times shown are Montreal, Canada times

Attention:
What are cybercourses?

Cybercourses are carried out using the Internet. A dynamic presentation appears on your computer screen, and the technology offers two-way communication with the presenter and the other participants in the “virtual class”. No need to download and install a program or a plug-in.

Your successful participation rests on:
  • proper hardware and software – see below, and
  • a quiet environment.

    OBJECTIVES
Cybercourses have for objective to provide easy access to capsules of specialized information, in your regular work environment.

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND
With the technology used, anyone on earth having access to the necessary minimal equipment can attend a “virtual class”.

    PREREQUISITE
Before participating for the first time, each participant should check the hardware configuration by connecting to the website. Each participant receives an invitation after a registration to a cybercourse.

    DETAILS
    Technical requirements:
  • Microsoft Windows 2000, Linux or Mac OS 10.2, or more recent
  • Adobe Flash Player 7.0 or more recent
  • 800 MHz processor or better, with 256 Mb of RAM
  • a sound card
  • Internet Explorer (6.0+), FireFox (1.0+), or Netscape (7.0+)
  • updated anti-virus software
  • access to Internet with a connection speed higher than 56 Kbs, i.e. medium or high speed connection
  • a headset (computer speakers or external loudspeakers are not ideal for this application, as they can create an echo in the entire “class”)
  • a microphone

Work environment: ensure your work environment is conducive to a learning experience, particularly:
  • a comfortable headset, ideally with two earphones
  • an isolated workstation, for example in your organization’s training center, or in your office (closed door and/or a “Do not disturb” sign).

    Course time:
The start time for cybercourses are shown in the course schedule. At what time does a cybercourse start in your city? To finding out, go to the following website.

As in traditional sessions, a certificate of attendance is sent to you by e-mail after the session.

Like our other courses, CYBERCOURSES are scheduled at regular intervals, and appear in the schedule on our website. If you would like new topics to be added to our list, please contact Denis at denis@accademia.com.
