Discovering ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001
ISAS BC-9001 adds the best practices from the broadcasting industry to the internationally-recognized ISO 9001 standard; ISAS P-9001 does the same with regard to the press industry. These international standards specify requirements for a quality management system where a broadcasting or press organization aims to contribute to social development and democracy in the society it is serving, to meet the expectations of audience or readers, and applicable regulatory requirements, and to enhance the satisfaction of other stakeholders.
OBJECTIVES
With this Cybercourse, the participants:
will understand the purpose of the ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001 standards, as well as of their foundation ISO 9001:2000;
will appreciate the nature and breadth of the requirements of these standards;
will know the main steps for implementation and the organizations involved in third-party certification.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Top management, managers or personnel of all media organizations interested in discovering what the standards ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001 are about. This Cybercourse is also relevant for suppliers of media organizations, regulators and other governmental agencies. It is also open to the general public.
PREREQUISITE
This Cybercourse includes a brief review of ISO 9001:2000 and related concepts and principles, thus providing the proper context for appreciating ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001. key concepts and principles of quality management,
the scopes of ISO 9001:2000, ISAS BC-9001 and ISAS P-9001,
