ISO 9001 - 2000 to 2008 Transition
Key changes and their significance

ISO 9001 has achieved far wider international consensus than any other standard of its kind. First published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), it underwent a major revision in 2000. The changes were received with such enthusiasm that the number of certificates of conformity issued has doubled since. Eight years later the standard was revised again.

Although the latest revision contains no new requirement, the clarifications provided may have a significant impact for some organizations, depending on how it may have interpreted some requirements of the 2000 Edition.

OBJECTIVES
In this session, participants will discover and understand the principal changes introduced by the 2008 version of the standard. They will be able to appreciate whether these changes affect their organization’s quality management system.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Senior or middle management, personnel directly involved with the implementation or maintenance of the quality management system, and especially personnel from Quality or Procurement departments.

This distance training can be specially useful to an organization wishing to train quality managers and auditors in multiple sites across the world.
