This course is based on the 2007 Edition of the ISO 15189 standard “Medical laboratories — Particular requirements for quality and competence”.
OBJECTIVES
To understand how the quality management system is organized around the laboratory processes, in order for personnel to comprehend their role, rights and duties.

Overview of a biomedical laboratory’s quality management system
ISO 15189 key requirements relative to
operational processes
support and managerial processes
Questions related to roles, rights and duties of personnel will be answered in relation with the standard’s requirements. The laboratory’s management will have the opportunity to provide information specific to the laboratory.
