Understanding AS 9120 B (2016)

Course description

The industry has created IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group), made up of representatives from Aerospace and Defense companies in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe, to achieve significant quality improvements and cost reductions throughout the value chain.

IAQG has prepared the 9100:2016 (AS – English version and EN – French version, published in 2017), from which the AS 9120:206 standard is derived, is intended for use by organizations that distributes parts for Aviation, Space and Defense manufacturers.

Standard 9120:2017 has been revised (Revision B) to incorporate the new structure and content of ISO 9001:2015. In addition, to meet the needs of stakeholders, industry requirements, definitions and notes were also revised.

Target clientele

The course is relevant for anyone wishing to discover and understand the above standards, as well as for those wishing to refresh or upgrade their knowledge on the subject.

Course objective

This course aims for participants to develop a good understanding of the key requirements of ISO 9001:2015 “Quality Management System – Requirements” and the additional requirements for the aerospace and defense industry, as provided by 9120:2017 ver. B. B.

Although this course focuses on the specific requirement of operational activities, it provides an excellent overview of all the components of a mature QMS”.
