Understanding the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Course description

In 2015, the UN adopted a "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" to rethink the future we will all live in, and determine the avenues we should prioritize for our planetary sustainable development over the next 15 years. The common denominator for all peoples is our Earth, and the UN has set goals to ensure sustainable and equitable growth.

All the Heads of State and Government have adopted this resolution, thereby committing themselves to achieving these objectives in accordance with their own context and sovereignty. These objectives are also linked to the ISO 26000 social responsibility standard. Organizations such as institutions, businesses and industries (ICI) also have a role to play in these 17 sustainable development objectives, and should aim to achieve them according to their field of activity.
During this training course, the concept of sustainable development is clarified in relation to its various economic, social and environmental aspects. Workshops with participants allow us to delve deeper into each of the 17 objectives and their sub-objectives. Concrete examples of in-company actions are provided throughout the course. Finally, the course looks at how companies are integrating these sustainable development objectives into their current management systems.

The visual support material is highly recognized. It highlights key points, making it easier to understand and retain the information provided. Full documentation is also provided.
