Climate change is here and affects us all at different levels. IPCC reports are summarized in a few minutes in various newspaper articles or on television. However, knowledge of climate change, its causes and consequences, is poorly understood by the general public.
“The Climate Fresk encourages the rapid and widespread dissemination of a shared understanding of climate issues. Its raison d’être is to accelerate global understanding of climate issues to help trigger, as soon as possible, the tipping points needed to preserve life.”*
The Climate Fresk uses a game-based approach, drawing on the collective intelligence and creativity of participants to provide a simple understanding of the various concepts. The Climate Fresk is not just an awareness-raising workshop, but also a workshop for taking action. A period of 60 minutes is devoted to finding solutions that meet the needs of citizens and employees alike, in order to empower people to take action.
An initial objective of reducing GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 must be achieved to reach carbon neutrality targets. So it’s up to everyone – citizens and companies alike – to get informed and take action.
